Terri

I know for most people this is a touchy subject, but here is my opinion on it. Terri died 15 years ago and she is with the Father in heaven. She is brain dead, she has no idea what is going on around her. All the footage of Terri is doctored to make it seem that she is responsive, but she is not. Her body may be alive, but with no brain activity, she is nothing but a vessel.
I guess what bothers me the most about this is not only the parent’s inability to understand that if Terri didn’t know Jesus before her brain trauma, she is condemned, if she did (witch is what I have heard) she is with God in heaven now. There is nothing more anyone can do for her, but let her body go, her soul has already gone. The fact that so many people are outside the hospice praying for intervention does nothing for Terri. These people should be ministering to those who do not know Jesus, rather than trying to save someone who is already with Him.
I do believe that Terri’s husband has ulterior motives, but I’m sorry to say that I totally agree with his actions to have the feeding tube removed. She’s gone, let her be with God, and leave it alone.
That being said, I hope everyone who might read this will take the time to have a living will done so that family members will not be burdened with making this difficult decision. I realize how hard it must be for Terri’s family to let go of her, and I imagine if it were a family member of mine, even knowing what I know, I would probably want to hold on for as long as I could, hoping for a miracle. 15 years is too long. I guess I have made my wishes known; I would not want my body to live, while my soul is in heaven. A comma is one thing, but brain dead is totally different.
FLOOD UPDATE
Well, the river has receded quite a bit, but it’s still above flood levels. The motor cross park I mentioned before, well, you can actually tell it’s a motor cross park again, not a lake. Unfortunately it started raining this morning around 10am, and has pretty much being doing so since then, so we are still under a flood warning. The projection so far is another 3-5 inches, thunderstorms, lightning, hail; great stuff. J The anticipation was that it wouldn’t start raining until late this afternoon; however that went up in smoke. It’s not supposed to stop raining until tomorrow evening, so we are in for another wet one. I guess it’s just going to be one of those wet springs. Ah well. Nuff said for now, God Bless.

Happy Easter!

Tomarrow is Easter, what a wonderful day. I hope all will reflect on what this day means to us all, even those who are not christians. Jesus made the most profound sacrifice for us, something we can't ever repay, he died for our sins. I hope everyone's day will be blessed and spent with family, friends and loved ones. God Bless all on this day, and every day.

Tornadoes

Recently we had a few twisters touch down nearby. Actually one, not 20 miles from where I am. This has basically been a local story, but I wanted to share it because it's so heart warming. A grandmother who was helping her grandaughter plan her wedding mobile home was totally destroyed by this tornado. All of the grandaughter's wedding plans, including her dress was in the mobile home. The grandaughter was able to find her dress among all the debris from the tornado, but unfortunately it was totally ruined. A viewer from northern Alabama saw the story on the news and felt the need to help the grandaughter. She offered to not only replace the dress, but to do all the wedding planning free of charge. It's so good to know that there are still wonderful people in this world willing to make sacrifices for others! Good deeds of others are truly a blessing from God.
